

away at her home on the morning of Monday, March 9, 2026. She was born in Shenandoah, PA, the daughter of Elsie (Kowalchick) and George Rittle. Rosemarie graduated from Villa Joseph Marie High School and the Sacred Heart School of Nursing, then worked as a registered nurse in Allentown before having her three wonderful children. She was a devout member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Bally.
Rosemarie’s legacy lives on in the hearts and memories of her family. She is survived
by her children David and his wife, Audrey Fronheiser, of Fogelsville, and Kathy and her husband, Peter McGowan, of Lyme, NH, and by her brother Edward Rittle of Palmerton. She is also survived by five granddaughters: Alli, Meredith, Jackie, Kalin, and Kendra. Rosemarie was predeceased by her daughter Rosemarie Lomire and her brother George Rittle.
Rosemarie loved entertaining her granddaughters at Camp Barto, where they swam in the pond, played board games, made terrariums, learned to make the most delicious stuffing and applesauce, and so much more. She taught them the value of a thank you and to be generous with one’s time and talents. Rosemarie had a stern demeanor but a gentle soul. She volunteered for many entities, contributing her organizational prowess. She was a dedicated wife and homemaker. Everything was in order and had a place.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends may call from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
All are invited to join the family for a gathering at Bear Creek, 101 Doe Mountain Lane, Macungie, PA directly after the burial.
In honor of Rosemarie’s support of education, donations may be made to Saint Francis Classical Catholic Academy, 668 Pine St., Bally, PA 19503.
