After graduating from Ohio State University with a Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry, Russell worked for GSK as an Early Development Leader in Oncology Cell Therapy. In his free time, he loved to be outdoors, fishing and hunting. Indoors, Russell enjoyed playing video games and building model airplanes. He cared for his pet fish, birds, and dogs. Every Saturday at 8 pm, he would watch Svengoolie with his family.
Russell leaves behind his parents; three children, Emilie L., Katelyn E., and Hunter R.; fiancée, Geraldine Magner; sister, Kathryn E. Rowland, wife of Jeffery R.; brother David F. Poe, husband of Tammy; niece, Marissa; and nephew, Nathan.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home at 11 am. Calling hours will be from 10 am to 11 am before the service.
