Sally J. DeMartini, 83, of Sanatoga, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Paul V. DeMartini of 34 years and her five children: Linda and her husband, Gary Jesberg of Chesterfield, MO; Scott and his wife, Deborah of Ballston Spa, NY; Marcia and her husband, Jeff Cowin of Sanatoga, PA; Eric and his wife, Crystal of Port St. Lucie, FL and Amy Lauritsen of New York, NY, as well as her sister, Barbara Green of Pittsboro, North Carolina.
She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Christine (Fiske) Stickney, and predeceased by son-in-law Michael DeCasper (Amy Lauritsen), and her legacy continues with six grandchildren, Daniel Gladding and his wife, Blair; Mitchell Lauritsen, Gillian and Charles Cowin, Eric Lauritsen and his wife, Desi, Wesley Lauritsen and two great grandchildren and five wonderful nieces – Sally, Judy, Kathy, Nancy and Barbara Jane.
Sally was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. Her husband, children and grandchildren were everything to her. Her sense of humor, kindness, charm and personality touched anyone who had the privilege to know her and love her. Her heart had no limitations, her love no boundaries.
A graduate of University of Michigan, Sally was a dental hygienist for over 25 years until her retirement. She was an excellent cook and a gracious hostess that made anyone who entered her home feel special. Sally found something unique in everyone who crossed her path. An avid lover of the arts, she enjoyed music, poetry, artwork and was a casual but talented artist herself. A giving woman, she lived by the following, a favorite saying, “I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.”
