Thomas F. Simcoe

Thomas F. Simcoe, 78, of State College formerly Oley, PA. Husband of Karen R. (Reynolds) Simcoe. Passed away peacefully in the morning of Tuesday June 30, 2020 surrounded by his family in his residence. Born in Hartford, CT. He was the son of the late Margery J. (Johnston) and Frederick W. Simcoe. Thomas grew up in Upper Darby, PA and in 1975 moved to Havertown, PA where he resided until 2004. Thomas was employed in the Physical Plant Department of the American College of Bryn Mawr, PA for over 13 years. He also was self-employed working in home improvement and general repair for many years. He was enlisted in the USMC from 1963-1969, serving on the front line during the Vietnam War and the Cuban conflict. Thomas was a member of the Butterweck #465 Marine Corps League in Sinking Springs, PA. He is survived by his children, Donna K. Simcoe (Neil J. McDonald) of San Diego, CA, and Thomas W (Amanda) Simcoe of State College and two granddaughters, Hannah and Julia. Graveside Services will be held at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens on Friday August 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Thomas’s name to UPMC’s Starzl Transplant Institute. One of my favorite memories is the trip that my husband, Charles, and I took to The Hudson Valley in New York with Tom and Karen. It was the end of October and the leaves were gorgeous. We had so much fun! ❤️
