William Thomas Birt Jr.

William Thomas Birt Jr., 76, of Gilbertsville, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 76. Born August 25, 1949, in Pottstown, he was the son of the late William T. Sr, and Grace (Teet) Birt.

William was the devoted husband of Rosalie (Yerk) Birt, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. A hardworking and dedicated businessman, he owned and operated his own contracting business for many years, earning the respect of clients and colleagues through his craftsmanship, integrity, and strong work ethic. In addition to his contracting business, William also owned an ice cream concession stand, where he enjoyed serving his community and bringing smiles to people of all ages.

Outside of work, William found joy in serving the Lord, preaching in church, listening to and enjoying music, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He valued the relationships he built throughout his life and will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm personality, and the many happy memories he created with those who knew him.

William is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie; his son, Doug; his daughter, Kim Moore and her companion, Kevin; and his brother, David, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Richard, and his sister, Diane.

William's legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.

Services will be on Sunday July 19, 2026 from 5pm-8pm at 242 Community Church 275 Mill St. Boyertown PA 19512.
