Bill was born in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania on May 28, 1944. He was the 6th of seven children born to his late parents Mildred C. and William M. Dengler.
He was an industrial engineer at Great American Knitting Mills in Bally, Pennsylvania for 33 years. He worked tirelessly in his yard, taking meticulous care of the many varieties of wildflowers and particularly his favorites, the asters, daisies, forget-me-nots and the buttercups that filled the expanse of his yard. He was an avid backyard bird watcher and enjoyed feeding the birds and most especially, watching the antics of the colorful finches. Bill was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed the Phillies and was thrilled to attend a couple of World Series games.
Bill’s family was the most important and primary aspect of his life. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. Bill was dedicated to looking after their well-being and encouraged them in all of their endeavors. He was patient and kind, with a gentle nature about him.
