William J. Johns

William J. Johns, age 81, beloved husband of Mae Monberger of Gilbertsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Pottstown Hospital. He was born on April 4, 1940, to the late Mary Graham and Joseph Johns in Princeton, Florida.

After attending high school, William was very proud to serve in the Marine Corps. He was a Lance Corporal radio relay tech at Camp Pendleton, CA. After his time in the service, William took college courses which led him to job titles of Electrical Engineer&Industrial Supervisor.

In his free time, William enjoyed bowling and competed in a league for over 30 years. His team was League Champions for numerous years. He also was an extremely avid golfer and would go to the golf course any chance he could.

William loved taking his wife to their remote cabin in the mountains. There they would go hunting and spend quality time together, surrounded by the sereneness the mountains provide.

William is survived by his wife Mae of 42 years. He is survived by children Valerie (Johns) Ingram, wife of John Ingram, Lititz; PA, Leon Sabold, paramour of Stacey Weiand Lopez, Pottstown PA; William Johns Jr., fiance to Sharon Wright, Henderson, NC; Lynda (Sabold) Kissling, wife of James Kissling, Greenwood, DE; Jeffery Johns husband of Penny (Korzen) of North Babylon, NY; and Leslie Sabold, husband of Sheila Petri, Birdsboro, PA.

Surviving siblings Thomas Johns, Reading, PA; Harold Johns; Carlisle, PA and Patricia wife of Louis Dunning; North Fort Myers, FL. He was predeceased by a brother Frederick.

He leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
