

His greatest love was his wife and family. He enjoyed the sounds of the Big Bands. He was a 1932 graduate of Boyertown High School, also a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Church of Christ, Bechtelsville, and a Life member of the Sassamansville Fire Company.
He was an avid sports fan and was very proud of playing short stop for the Boyertown Legion in his early years. He was a dedicated Yankee’s fan and a train enthusiast in model and full size trains.
Bill was a hard worker and started his employment at Jacobs’ Aircraft which later become known as Firestone in Pottstown. He worked at the Sassamansville Clothing Factory where he met the love of his life, Ethel. His employment continued until his retirement from Boyertown Casket Company where he was a welder in the Metal Division in the late 1970’s.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Reverend John Brown will officiate.
A viewing will be Tuesday between 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Sassamansville.
