William J. Shirey, 93, of Douglassville. Husband of June L. (Breitenstein) Shirey. Passed away in the Reading Hospital on Friday January 8, 2021. Born in Douglassville, he was the last surviving child of Jeanette (Parker) and Edwin Shirey. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel in Pottstown and later Bethlehem for over 35 years working in the Accounting Department. He was also a manager for the Amity AC Pool for many years. William was a member of St. Paul’s UCC in Amity. He served in the US Marine Corps during WWII. William is survived by his daughters, Debra J. wife of George Heron of Loudon, TN. and Cindy A. wife of Rick Weil of Douglassville. Granddaughters, Jessica Weil of Temple and Elizabeth Heron of Bel Air, MD. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s UCC 1979 Weavertown Road Douglassville, PA. 19518 on Thursday January 14, 2021 at 11:30 AM.
