Obituary of Alfred G. "Chubby" Mantuano
IN THE CARE OF

Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center

Alfred G. Mantuano, “Chubby “ 91, passed away on April 17, 2026. Born on May 14, 1934, in Kenosha,Wisconsin. Alfred was shaped early by the steady foundations of family, born to the late Salvatore “Sam” and Gisella “Jessie” (Rozzoni) Mantuano. In later years, Alfred resided in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and then moved to Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Alfred devoted a significant chapter of his working life to Wisconsin Energies, where he was employed from May 27, 1968 until May 14, 1999. His long tenure reflected a deep sense of responsibility and constancy—qualities that marked the way he approached each season of life. Including the football season! Alfred was a die hard Green Bay Packer fan and never missed watching the games.

Alfred is survived by his children, Jean Hubbard (John) of Bradenton FL, and Michael Mantuano (Michelle) of Little Rock, AR; and by his brother, Sam Mantuano. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Blake (Brian), Samantha Gonzalez (Robert), Dr. Stephanie Hubbard (Fiancé Guy), Alfred Mantuano III (Casey), and Regina Jackson (Kyle); and by his great-grandchildren, Schuyler and Oliver Blake, Lydia Jackson, and Gabe and Nico Gonzalez, and Alfred IV and Alaina Mantuano.

Alfred was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carol Raczykowski Renzoni; his wife, Susan Makarewicz Hoffman Mantuano , his son, Alfred Mantuano II; and his siblings, Tony Mantuano, Eugene “Jij” (Dorothy), Loretta Goff (Joseph), and Elma Heiring (Jim).

A special Thank you to the staff at the Summit and Affinity Hospice. Alfred was treated with love and care every day. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
