Connie was born in Lakeland, Minnesota, to Alfred F. Miller and Leona H. Miller (Heineman). She was raised in Minnesota and graduated from Stillwater High School.
After graduating, Connie moved to Tampa, Florida, where she attended college and met her husband, James “Jim” Perrone. They married in 1990 and enjoyed life together in Florida and later in North Carolina before returning to Florida, where they spent their remaining years.
Connie worked in banking and finance and was known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail. She later devoted her time to her home and family, earning recognition as a Master Gardener and taking great pride in her gardens and outdoor spaces. She enjoyed decorating, sewing, cross-stitch, cooking, hosting dinner gatherings, camping, and spending time at the beach. Connie also had a deep love for animals, especially her cats, Chase and Spike.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Perrone; and her beloved cats, Chase and Spike.
She is survived by her brothers, Douglas Miller (Lynn) and Bruce Miller (Brenda); her stepchildren, Adam Perrone (Christine) and Jennifer Vollmer (Jeffrey); her nieces and nephew, Miranda Thorsen, Michelle Novak, Allison Miller, Katie Anderson, and John Miller; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Connie will be remembered for her independence, creativity, and the care she put into the people and projects that mattered most to her. She loved the outdoors and never missed an opportunity to notice the changing moons. One of her last planned trips—a glamping adventure in North Carolina—was never realized. Her family will honor her by taking that journey, carrying her with them always in their hearts.
