Constance “Connie” Trevena (nee Myszko) of Bradenton Florida, passed away on July 5, 2024, surrounded by family. Connie was born September 26, 1932, to Anna and Peter Myszko in Bayonne, New Jersey. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Elementary School and Bayonne High School. Connie was a cafeteria manager for several years and truly enjoyed interacting with the students at Holy Family Academy and Marist High School, both in Bayonne. She subsequently moved to Florida in 2004.
Connie (aka Mom, Gma, GGma, Cioci) was a very caring, loving person who enjoyed being with family. After her move to Florida she would travel to New Jersey to spend time, each trip being her “last trip north” as she aged. She also enjoyed traveling and was part of family excursions to such far off places as England, Hawaii, Mexico and Connecticut. Some of her favorite hobbies and pastimes included playing Scrabble, Boggle, Canasta, Casino Slots, cooking, and watching political media channels. She was a conservative activist and participated in a number of political organizations. “Gma” was always close by when there was cooking to be done for the various political gatherings.
Connie was married to Robert Trevena (deceased), and later in life she spent many years with her special friend Robert Knudson (deceased). Her loving children are Annette Stanoch and her husband, Mark; Ann Marie Lovett; and Nancy Szymanski and her husband Bill. She will be remembered by her 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren: Danielle Lovett (children Ethan and Matthew) and her fiancé Steve Barseghian; Robert Stanoch and his wife Melissa (children Preston and Emily); Christopher Stanoch and his wife Erica (son Zachary); Sean Lovett and his wife Marie (children Wesley and Joey); Timothy Stanoch; Deana Gaeta and her husband Robert (children Serena and Louis); Jacqueline Lovett; and Katie Szymanski. Connie was predeceased by many brothers and sisters: Adam Myszko, John Myszko, Angela (Elsie) Bejgrowicz, Stanley (Mike) Myszko, Bertha (Betsy) Mack, Stephanie (Sally) Szczepanek, Al Myszko, Florence (Flo) Cembor, Dorothy (Dot) DeNola, Joseph Myszko, and Chester Myszko. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Requiem Mass in honor of Connie will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of the Angels, 12905 State Road 70 E, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202, with a Celebration of Life to follow from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, FL 34211.
