 This is Dennis Suite we met today at an open house. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Daniel certainly sounds like a wonderful person. Serving his country for the safety of all of us. Being a caring and devoted husband. I have a strong faith and I am a Disciple of Christ.
 I will ask my fellow journeyman to remember him in their prayers. And we all will pray for your during this sad time in your life

I met Dan and Sheila in New Mexico in the early 2000's. I was building my retirement home in the area where they lived, less than a mile from their home. We quickly became friends, maybe because of our Air Force ties. Being ex-military it was easy to be-friend people from all over the country. I enjoyed his Northeastern sense of humor.
 We had an extended "family" of at least eight of us and we gathered regularly for holidays, birthday celebrations, football games and any occasion we could call up. The amazing thing about our group is that almost everyone attended all the time. We just enjoyed spending time together and Dan and Sheila were an integral part of that mix.
After they moved to Florida they hosted me and my sister and her husband for visits. They were excellent hosts there and were anxious to show us what the area had to offer. 
Dan was intelligent, witty, sometimes a bit opinionated but always willing to listen to the other side of things. Seldom could you change his mind but he would listen. It was all humorous fun and I really enjoyed our discussions. He was always handy to help with projects on the properties as living a number of miles from town, you would call friends on whom you could rely.
I'm going to miss him greatly. It's hard to believe he's not still with us.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Dan's passing.
We were old friends and Dan will be missed.

Sheila, Rick and I were saddened to hear about Dan’s passing.  Whenever we would see Kent we would ask about you both.  We will be praying for your family.  We won’t be able to attend the services but know that we will be praying for you.  Rick and Beverly Lambert.

What sad news to hear of Dan’s passing! Dan was an amazing, knowledgeable, gifted man that will be missed by all. While in New Mexico, he was a source of knowledge and skill in so many areas of life for me. He never approached anything with major questions in his mind. AND, he was also a source of laughter and humor in re- telling stories and sharing bits of wisdom. He was a blessing to all.  To have dinner or gathering with Dan and Sheila was  an event not to be missed.  May God heal the hearts missing Dan. Shiela, you are in my prayers and know that you are loved from afar. So very sad to hear that Dan has passed on. I worked with him at Pease Air Force Base New Hampshire many years ago and reconnected with him through Face Book. Dan led a life filled with service and dedication to to his country and to protecting our forests and wildlife. He was bigger than life itself. With much appreciation and respect I give him my best slow salute.
