She was eighty-one. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (James) Hogan. She was the beloved wife of Eugene Godreau (deceased December 4, 2011) for 53 years.
During most of their married life, they resided in the Washington, DC area and were parishioners at St. Jane de Chantel Catholic Church in Bethesda. Diana was a great homemaker and mother. She loved duck-pin bowling and was the secretary in a number of duck-pin leagues in the Montgomery County, Maryland area.
In 2022, she moved to an assisted living community in Sarasota, Florida to be close to her daughter and son-in-law. She was loved by the other residents and the staff of her community. Despite a long and debilitating illness, she remained exceedingly cheerful around family members, friends, and caretakers.
She was a supporter of St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital and donations can be made to the hospital in her name.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.rtslwr.com for the Godreau family.
