Obituary of Donald A. Fredricks
IN THE CARE OF

Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center

Donald Alfred Fredricks, a man of many stories, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, at the age of 99.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Donald lived an extraordinary life defined by curiosity, adventure, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family. He approached every chapter of life with enthusiasm and determination, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Don was always smiling, and whether he was sharing tales of his travels, his experiences as a pilot, or lessons learned throughout his long life, he always had a story to tell and a willing audience to enjoy it.

Donald was the owner and CEO of Fredricks Marking Products, where he built a successful business through vision, integrity, and dedication. He took great pride in his work and in the relationships, he developed throughout his career.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Donald embraced life with a spirit of adventure. A licensed pilot, he found joy and freedom in the skies and was always eager for his next destination. He and his loved ones traveled extensively, circling the globe twice, creating treasured memories in countless countries. Whether skiing down a mountain, swimming, or exploring a new culture, Donald believed life was meant to be experienced to the fullest.

Above all, Donald treasured his family and the people he loved. He is survived by his loving companion of 39 years, Judy Lamb; his daughter, Judy LeMaire and her husband, Gary; his son, Mark Fredricks; his grandson, Devin Neely and his wife, Nadia; his granddaughter, Tara Bruski and her husband, Dave; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Trevor, Willow, and Kensi Bruski, and Hunter and Sommer Neely.

Donald will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his generous heart, his leadership, his ever-present smile, and his enduring love for those closest to him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched through both his business and his friendships.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Roman Catholic Church. Donald will be laid to rest later in Tower, Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, one of Don's favorite charities, in honor of his life and legacy.

Though he will be deeply missed, the memories of his laughter, wisdom, and love will remain in the hearts of all who know him. His life was one well lived, and his example will continue to inspire future generations. Forever smiling, forever loved, and forever remembered. May he rest in eternal peace.
