Ezio Vippolis, passed away at the age of 81, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew him. Born in Putigano, Italy, Ezio's journey through life was marked by a profound love for his family and a dedication to service and community. Ezio's early years were shaped by the rich traditions of his Italian heritage, instilling in him a passion for life's simple pleasures and a strong work ethic. His path eventually led him to the United States, where he settled in New York before ultimately finding his final home in Sarasota, Florida.
A decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, Ezio served with honor and distinction in the US Army. Professionally, Ezio excelled as a Italian wine specialist, a role that perfectly complemented his innate love for conviviality and good company. Above all else, Ezio cherished his family.
Ezio is survived by his beloved wife Yvonne, a caring father to his children Joan and Joseph Vippolis, and a supportive stepfather to Marc Benitez (Danielle Marzarella, the daughter-in-law he adored) and Chris Benitez. His role as grandfather to seven grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he took great pride in watching them grow and succeed. Ezio's generous spirit extended beyond his immediate family, being one of ten siblings and a wide circle of friends and colleagues who admired him for his integrity and kindness.
