Glenn George Glubiak, 60, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Long Island, New York, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. Born on October 14, 1965, in Queens, New York, Glenn lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those around him.
Above all else, Glenn was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, partner, and friend. Family was the center of his world, and he found immense joy in spending time with those he loved, making them laugh, and creating memories together.
He is survived by his loving parents, George and Lydda Glubiak, and Joan and Ron Collins; Katherine Glubiak, his former wife of 24 years and devoted mother of their children; his daughter, Rachel Wolfe and her husband, Connor Wolfe; his son, Matthew Glubiak; his daughter, Lauren Glubiak; his grandson, Carson Wolfe; his sister, Linda and Joe Murphy; and his beloved partner, Lynn Dahan. Glenn was predeceased by his beloved sister, Laurie Glubiak.
In addition to his immediate family, Glenn leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Glenn pursued higher education with determination and success. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany and his master’s degree from Rutgers University before building a successful career as a bond broker. He was admired for his intelligence, integrity, and unwavering work ethic. He genuinely loved helping people and valued the relationships he built with clients, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Glenn had a magnetic personality that left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was full of life—charismatic, carefree, selfless, generous, loyal, and had an unmatched ability to make others laugh. Whether he was making a stranger’s day brighter or sharing hysterical moments with loved ones, Glenn’s humor and warmth were unforgettable.
Glenn had a deep love for sports and treasured the years he spent coaching his children’s teams and supporting them throughout their athletic journeys. Whether he was on the sidelines, in the stands, or celebrating a hard-earned victory afterward, he took great pride in being their biggest fan. Glenn also enjoyed golfing, swimming, biking, walking on the beach, socializing with friends old and new, and simply embracing the beauty of everyday life. His hobbies reflected his love of people, his adventurous spirit, and his appreciation for making memories with those he loved.
Glenn spent his final day celebrating Father’s Day surrounded by those he held dearest—his three children, son-in-law, and grandson. The day was filled with laughter, love, and time spent on the golf course together. It was a fitting reflection of the way Glenn lived his life: cherishing family, embracing joy, and creating memories with the people he loved most.
Glenn Glubiak will be remembered as one of a kind—a man whose generosity knew no bounds and whose spirit brought light to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the family he loved so deeply. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, 2026, at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, Florida 34211. Friends and loved ones are welcome from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM.
A second Celebration of Life will be held later this summer on Long Island, New York, where Glenn grew up and built many lifelong friendships. Family and friends will gather to share stories, memories, and laughter as they honor and celebrate the life he lived and the impact he had on so many. Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a cause close to Glenn’s heart, in memory of his beloved sister, Laurie Glubiak.
