

Jane Frechette Spiegel, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Worcester, MA, and raised in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Theresa Frechette. Jane raised her family in Westborough, MA, before relocating to Bradenton, FL.
She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Amanda Spiegel of Boston, MA; Melanie Spiegel and her fiancé Micah Winkelspecht, along with their sons Mason and Maddox of Puerto Rico; and Julie Spiegel of Boston, MA. Jane is also survived by her brother David Frechette of Holden, and sisters Judy Saad of Danvers and Joy Maglione of Putnam, CT.
A devoted mother, Jane loved her three daughters above all else and took immense pride in their accomplishments. Known affectionately as “JJ” by her grandsons, they were her greatest joy. She relished the time spent with them in her final months, which brought her immeasurable happiness.
Her commitment to her family extended to her siblings and nieces and nephews, with whom she shared a close and loving bond. Jane was a dedicated friend, known for her kindness and great sense of humor, she was fun, thoughtful, and generous. Devoted to caring for others, Jane spent many years working in elderly care, bringing joy and compassion to everyone she encountered. Her adventurous spirit took her to extraordinary destinations, including the Amazon and Europe, she biked the PanMass Challenge, was an avid golfer, hiked in New Hampshire, Maine, and the Grand Canyon. Jane had a zest for life and embraced all things fun, interesting, and exciting.
Jane possessed many talents, including a creative flair as a talented photographer, gifted jewelry maker, and incredible interior decorator. She had a unique ability to transform any home and was often sought out by friends and family for her decorating expertise. Jane had an eye for the perfect paint color and a knack for creating beautiful, inviting spaces, all while nurturing her passion for art.
Jane will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, creativity, and adventure will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, Jane wished for donations to be made to an animal charity of your choice, honoring her love of animals throughout her life.
