Our handsome, beautiful and brave son, Joshua Francis Brush, of Bradenton, passed away surrounded by his immediate family on June 8, 2023 and was ushered into the Kingdom of Heaven right into the arms of Jesus, at the age of 37. He was born on February 22, 1986 in Evergreen Park, IL. Joshua graduated from Wharton High School in 2004.
Joshua was the brightest of personalities that touched everyone who came into contact with him. Oh his smile, oh his laughter, oh his personality. Joshua spent most of his life in the hospitality industry. Serving and meeting people was his joy. He loved deeply, was loyal, humorous, quick witted, intelligent and strong minded.
Joshua coached for his son, Ariston's t-ball and football teams. Joshua played on various basketball leagues and competed in many different golf outings. He was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears and the Florida State Seminoles, Tampa Bay Lighting and Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bulls and North Carolina Tar Heels, Chicago White Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays. Joshua found solace in working out. He admired many different types of music, liked watching movies, especially comedies, cherished socializing with his friends and cousins. He always enjoyed a good game night with his family and friends.
Joshua was a devoted father, loving partner to Kaile, an amazing son, protective brother, caring grandson and loyal friend. Joshua will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Lauralee Brush; his sons Ariston and Lennox; sisters, Annalee Viera (Anthony) and Leah Brush (Noel Rodriguez); his fiancée Kaile Matson; grandmother, Lorna Briske; and nephew, Ronan. Joshua also leaves behind his wonderful aunts and uncles, Bud and Marylou Strassheim, Grant and Beverly Berning, Mike and Patti Brush, Ward and Frannie Shampine, Paul and Lynne Kwak, Phil and Irene Berner, Jim and Eileen Simpson and Wayne and Marcia Holman, and future in-laws, Freddy and Michelle Matson and future sister-in-law, Glenn Matson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy Francis and Mary Frances Brush and Tom J. Holman.
