He was well known for his technical knowledge and wide-ranging implementation experiences and frequently participated on Steering Committees with senior executives in client organizations.

Prior to starting at ESG, Kelvin held leadership positions in several systems integration companies. Before he was a business development manager for EDS where he was responsible for positioning the company for large federal systems integration contracts he holds a M.S. in Physics from Brandeis University, and a B.S. from Oregon State University.

Kelvin shared 27 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Judith Voss. Together they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. He was a proud father to his sons Michael Vass, and Phillip Vass, wife Cari Vass. His legacy continues through his grandchildren—Jessica Vass Mason, husband Jay Mason, Brandon Vass, and Charles Vass, wife Liz Vass—and great-grandchildren Camron Cooper, Tyler Mason, Kolton Mason, Gianna DePietro, and Nico DePietro.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother David Goon; and his grandson Michael Patrick Vass.

Kelvin’s interests reflected a curious and adventurous spirit. He found joy in sailing across open waters and skiing down snowy slopes. A lifelong learner and thinker, he enjoyed reading and playing chess. His passion for innovation extended into hobbies like 3D printing and shooting sports. Of all Kelvin's interests, his talent, experience, and artistic ability for cooking dinners, entertaining family, and friends was unsurpassed. Often, he would hold impromptu dinner parties whenever he decided to cook a favorite meal or try something new. Kelvin prepared enough for an army, so his freezers were filled to the hilt at all times.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all whose lives he touched.
