I choose this reading for Kevin's mass.  He is a perfect soul and pleasing to God.  All that he did here can be multiplied to the 
billionth  power from where he sits now.  

As I meditate on this Bible scripture, I realize God gives some of us as long as He does, in His infinite mercy, so that we can make our soul's perfect and pleasing to Him before we face Him at the Gates of Heaven, and we will.  I have no doubt.  I've told all of my children, we will face our maker and the person God created us to be and the person we became will have to be reconciled with the Lord.  Our advocate, Jesus,  He will be by our side.

Let us take a moment to reflect on our lives and what is in our hearts.  Kevin had a pure heart, pure and filled with the joy of Christ Jesus.  He was humble, not a drop of vanity; kind, generous, giving, patient beyond belief; loving, not a drop of hate or anger in him, forgiving, obedient; he held no grudges and would take things with a grain of salt, and the list goes on.  A perfect soul.  Who among us can say this about ourselves?  I know I can't, therefore, there is work to be done before my soul is pleasing to the Lord.

One of my sisters at church said to me, "Lucy, Kevin is a Saint."  And, he is.

Nothing like trying to focus and "mother" breaking out in a random song. Lol

Kevin, your life on earth was cut too short, but the impression and impact you made on everyone was forever!  Your kindness,  humbleness and and loving persona was something beyond.  You brought love to everyone you met.  You will always live in our hearts.  Be happy in heaven and watch over your loving family as the Heavenly Angel you are now.  Rest in peace dear Kevin. ❤️❤️

I am so sad to hear about Kevin’s passing. Although we only met once, this sweet and funny young man left such an impression on me. He had such a positive attitude and was so full of life. Reminded me so much of his mom  whom I consider a dear friend. Gone way too soon. Why? But as my mom has always taught me, we can never question God and why he does things. Even when it makes no sense. Kevin, I have no doubt you are now resting in eternal peace alongside God. Sorry I couldn’t get to know you better. My loss. You will be missed. ❤️

There is a peace that comes from a place in the soul where all the memories and love shared can never be lost.  Kevin and I shared a soul as I do with all my children.  They are my life and my world.  Life goes on because it must here but I have always believed that this is a temporary destination.  Kevin is and always will be my soulmate because we shared our lives and gave so much to one another never asking for anything in return.  We were always present.  It has always been about the NOW.  His heart beats in me and I will live for him.

Lucy, I am so very sorry for the loss of Kevin. Ricky just told me. I am at a loss for words. I have been speaking to Silvia, but she never told me there was anything wrong. Which is understandable.
I will forever remember all the times with Kevin, Kris, you and Silvia hanging out during holidays and summer vacation. I am so grateful for those shared memories and I pray that God gives you and your family the strength to be able to get thru these terrible times.

We were all happy and excited when Lucy said, "Hey Mirn, we're (Kevin) moving to Jersey" what a great surprise it was! We shared a few birthdays and holidays, superbowl! You had the coolest looking welding helmet!! All the barbecues Lucy had and the funny things we did taking turns wearing that helmet! You were a trooper and went along with it! Even my silly pineapple 🍍 pictures! You even busted out singing the Annie Lenox song...what a hoot we had! I remember Lucy being pregnant with you. You were such a cute little guy! You were a wonderful son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, friend and true Warrior! Selfless and strong throughout you're 9 month battle without any complaints. I still can't comprehend this. We'll never forget you Kevin Bear! We love you!  ❤️ 

~The Mirn~

More than just shared snacks and jokes, Kevin and I had a wide span of matching interests. We’d talk about our Dungeons and Dragons characters and their adventures. He was so proud of one character he made that had a set of spells to replicate old Cartoon moves, casting spells like oil slick and catapult to make silly attacks in combat. We shared pictures from our favorite comic book panels, and just weeks before his passing we giggled over some bonkers panels of a mime from a 1987 Batman comic book. He’d show me his favorite Pokémon and the cards he’d collected for them. Chubbs even sent me a holographic card he acquired on a trading site for my favorite Pokémon just because he saw it and thought of me. He was always so kind and so caring with the people he loved. 

These words feel like a poor remainder for someone so rich with life and love but they’re all I have left to offer. I’ll miss him everyday. He was kind, brave, strong, and ever so reliable. If you ever need him he was there. Every time Kris and I see a silly thing we just want to take a pic and send it to him, and breaks my heart he’s not there to share it with now. 

Rest easy, Kevin. You are loved, you are missed, and we will carry you with us always.

I first met Kevin almost 12 years ago, he was 17 and he hated when I called him Kevin instead of his goofy nickname, Chubbs. 

I was always impressed by his quick wit and uncanny ability to recall quotes and lyrics on command. He could work movie lines into any conversation for a sudden punchline, and if I was in the mood to sing a Disney song he always joined in and knew the words often better than I did. Even better than just quotes he was able to mimic so many character voices, especially ones from Looney Tunes cartoons. When he would trip or stumble he would throw out this ‘Bwah-hoo-hoo” noise to go along with his movements as if he was auditioning for the starring role in the Goofy Movie.

What I miss most was the easy camaraderie we shared. When we were together he often sidle over to my side to tell a quick joke, share a funny story, or even to share a bite of the crust off his pizza -especially one that had some burnt cheese crisped along the crust. We always said that was the best part. When we lived together we often banded together to hide our favorite snacks from Kris while sharing them with each other. Sometimes he would sneak over while I played games and slip me some of the chocolate chip cookies he grabbed at Publix like a covert deal.

Wishing my deepest condolences. It is a sad loss and I will miss Kevin dearly. I will be praying for you, Love you.

I got to know Kevin over the last several years being the younger brother of the husband to our daughter, Madison. I think Kris & Kevin shared a brotherly love that most brothers would envy. Kevin was a kind, gentle soul, but had a certain gravitas about him that I enjoyed being around. Though our interactions were few and a bit too far between, I will always smile thinking of him. R.I.P. Kevin - we'll miss but never forget you!

I remember those days in the neighborhood we would all spend together…and those long summer days. Playing every single sport, Xbox LAN, and our Halo group. Watching each other break bones and do crazy stuff, riding bikes and jumping things. Those days are in my heart and memory forever and you were a big part of that. We all had a huge chunk of our childhood memories with you and Kris and that stays with us always. Man, those days were amazing. I’m praying for the family. I really wish I could be there and be together with everyone. I miss you all incredibly.

This was the last time I saw you, it was Halloween. You guys were joining us at south beach and I had told you guys we were on Pennsylvania Ave. When you guys showed up 2 hours later, I asked what took you all so long. You said because you were looking for Transylvania Ave. You always made everyone laugh. I will forever have great memories of you and what a good friend you were to my little brother. Thanks, Kevin! Sending you a big hug in heaven.

I will cherish the countless days we played outside and numerous occasions playing video games over each other’s houses when we were kids and I will always remember the last time I saw you when I visited you and your brother in Tallahassee. Thank you for being great friend.

What a soul! What bravery! What dignity! He was always a great kid and grew up to be a magnificent young man. He fought hard and despite all that he faced during these past 9 months, his outlook was always positive. I spoke with his mom countless times a week and she always shared how positive he was. He only lived 29 years on this earth but what a life and how many people did he touch with his humor, one liners, smile, and love. He was pure joy to his mom and his loss will be extremely difficult but I know she will persevere! Why? Because Kevin would not want anything less. Shine bright. Kevin, my little brother, so many times I leaned in your for support as if our roles were reversed. Knowing you and growing up with you showed me what a good person truly is.
