Lorette "Lori" Furfey Henderson Palfrey of Bradenton passed away peacefully at her home on November 5, 2025. She was surrounded by her family. She was born on May 24, 1952 at the Naval Base in Coronado, California to Monica DeLate Henderson and Michael C.A. Henderson.
Lori graduated from Rosarian Academy in 1970 and went to Palm Beach Junior College. She then graduated from Barry University in 1999. She began working as a social worker, before moving on to becoming a bank teller and eventually managing the Bank of Palm Beach for many years. She also worked at Oppenheimer investments.
A resident of Florida for most of her life, she loved the beach. She also lived in Asheville, North Carolina for more than a dozen years before returning to Florida in 2019. She loved sewing, crafting, decorating, and gardening. She always had the most beautiful and healthy plants. She definitely had a green thumb.
She is survived by her husband Edward Lee Palfrey, her children Michael Palfrey of San Diego, California and Morgen Palfrey Stanzler of Lexington, Massachusetts, and her sister Maggi Henderson Tabano of Bradenton, Florida. She had four wonderful grandchildren, Gabe, Edison, Selah, and Wesley.
Celebration of life will be on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 11am until 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation is made to the American Lung Association.
