Mary Christine Schier, aged 73, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in her Bradenton, Florida home surrounded by her family. Born in Seneca, Kansas, on December 17, 1951, Mary was a beacon of love and generosity to all who knew her.
Mary graduated from Saints Peter and Paul High School in Seneca, Kansas, and later attended Mount St. Scholastica College in Atchison, Kansas, where she met and married Jim, her husband of 54 years. Mary was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Lakewood Ranch, FL, practicing her faith with dedication and joy.
Throughout her life, Mary was known for her deep devotion to her family. She was a loving wife to Jim, a nurturing mother to Andy (Leslie), Kristen Wasielewski (Noah), and Niki Miller (Matt), and a doting grandmother to Coen, Camden, and Brenyn Wasielewski; and Addison and Bryce Miller. Mary is survived by her mother, Betty Kramer, and her siblings Joseph, Denise, Mark, Stanley, Julie, and David. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Kramer.
Mary had a versatile skill and a steady hand. A talented seamstress, she was known for her sharp eye and the quality of her work. While she was a master of her craft at home, she was always willing to try something new for the sake of her family. Whether, it was testing her nerves at rock climbing, hiking the trails of a National Park, or traveling the country in the Airstream, she was game for the adventure simply for the experience with the people she loved. Despite the miles traveled or the activities she tried, her favorite moments were the simple ones: a good cup of coffee and a conversation with her loved ones.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice, honoring Mary's generous spirit.
The arrangements are being handled by Robert Toale & Sons in Bradenton, FL, and the family will gather to honor her memory and celebrate a life well-lived at Our Lady of the Angels campus. 12905 SR 70 E, Lakewood Ranch 34202
Mary's legacy of love, kindness, and community will forever be remembered by all she touched.
