Age 84 of Brampton, passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side at Brampton Civic Hospital on Friday July 13, 2018. Angus will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eva, children, Karen (Albert) Miller, Wayne (Angela) Burke and grandchildren, Shannon and Chelsea. Angus is survived by his sister Mary. Angus was born and raised in the’ “Red Rows” of Inverness and moved to Ontario as a young man, like so many others, looking for work. He was a son of Dougald and Katie Sarah (McLean) Burke. Besides his parents, Angus is predeceased by brothers; David, Malcolm, John, George, Ernest, Dougie, David Anthony, Gerard, and son-in-law, Chuck Huber.
When Angus came to Toronto he found employment in the corrugated industry which he worked in until he retired. He met and married Eva in Toronto and later moved to Brampton to raise their family. In spite of living in Ontario his heart was always in Cape Breton.
Angus’s love for family and friends was genuine; he loved spending time with them, he loved to have fun and laugh. He had many hobbies, music, baking, baseball, woodworking, cards, gardening and photography to name a few. He truly enjoyed life and embraced it whole heartedly. Angus had many friends and will be truly missed by all who knew him; take comfort in all of the wonderful memories.
