Anthony (Tony) Trevor Francis

On Thursday March 17th, 2016, the clouds parted, the sun shone and heaven's gates opened up and welcomed an extraordinary man. On that day, at 1:45 pm, with the love of his life “Barbara” at his bedside, Tony passed away peacefully. He was a gentle, kind, empathetic and witty man, with the biggest heart a human could possibly have and was loved and admired by so many. He was an inspiration to all that knew and met him. He was a perfect role model on how a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, mentor & business man should be. He was a loving Dad to Anita, Trevor (Margee), Bryan (Dinah), Melanie (Bobby), and Danny. An adored Grandpa to Olivia, Abigail, Alexis, Curtis and Evelyn. A devoted brother to Allan (Peggy), Ashley (Lydia), and Arnie (Ingrid). A respected brother-in-law to Fairy (Azhar), Pat (Alec), Granville (Alison) and Jackie (Francis- predeceased). He is predeceased by his parents James and Winnie Francis. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends from here and abroad.

Tony left behind many legacies which included Legacy Financial Services with his partners Sam and Ed, Francis Insurance Agency, The Canorient Seniors Club. His community minded spirit lead him to be an active member of the Canorient Association, Civitan International, condo board (holding positions as President). His positive thinking and his passion to help others will live on through his family and those who knew him. He was loved dearly, and will be profoundly missed each and everyday.

On behalf of the Francis Family, we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, good thoughts and well wishes. Even though his battle with cancer was short lived, it was with the power of your prayers, your support and your love, that we were blessed with more time with Tony than what was expected.

Visitation will be held at Andrews Community Funeral Services (8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, 905-456-8190) on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 6-9pm, and Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 2 – 4pm, and 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (940 North Park Drive, Brampton) on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at 11:00. Burial to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the Civitan International Foundation of Canada, 52 Boullee Street, London, Ontario N5Y 1T6. For a $10.00 donation or more

a tax receipt will be issued.
