fibrosis. She was born October 24, 1941, in Northern Ireland to Frederick and Margaret Allen.
Married Samual Robert (Bobby) Mills, in June of 1967 who preceded her in death in 2007.
Audrey is survived by her brother and wife, Raymond and Kayreen, sister-in-law Iris; sons
Stephen and Paul; daughter-in-law Liz, and granddaughter Rose; and her many nephews and
nieces. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
She was blessed to have a happy, carefree childhood growing up in Northern Ireland with two
loving parents and her supportive older brothers, Norman and Raymond. Although she had
known Bobby most of her life, growing up around the corner from each other, they wouldn’t
become friends until they were young adults. Bobby, had returned home after spending 2 years in
Canada and quickly became good friends with Audrey’s brother, Raymond. When Bobby
decided to join a local theatre group that already had Raymond and Audrey as members, his
relationship with Audrey blossomed.
They married on June 14th, 1967 and immediately departed to start a new life in Canada. Two
years later, Stephen was born, followed by Paul three years after that. In 1973 they moved to
Bramalea, Ontario, where they would raise their family and live for the remainder of their lives.
It took a lot of strength for Audrey to pack up and leave her family and everything she had ever
known to start a new life in an unfamiliar country. Not only did she succeed and find happiness,
but she also made many new friends along the way. She had a wonderful life, and even in illness,
she refused to slow down. When Bobby passed and she decided to sell the family home and move
to the Rosedale community, it was no surprise how quickly she adapted, made friends with her
neighbours, and came to love this chapter in her life.
When her granddaughter was born, she spoiled her as any proud grandmother would. Rose was
her little angel who she loved with all her heart. Through the good times and the tough times,
Audrey’s love and support were always there. Now she has gone, but we know that she will always
be close by, watching, supporting and loving us like she always has. Rest now. We miss you and
love you very much.
