Beloved wife of the late Robert Gordon Sevigny for 30 wonderful years.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Charles Sevigny (Rose) of Georgetown, Anna Manson (Paul Borkwood) of Sunderland, Noel Sevigny (Carolyn) of Bramalea and Mathew Sevigny (Cathy) of Brampton. Audrey was the proud grandmother of Robert, Alycia, Hayley, Erin, Cassandra and Aidan. She is survived by her sister Marie Anne Luttrell. Audrey will be sadly missed by extended family, friends and church members from St. Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church.
Audrey started her life in Capreol, Ontario with her Mom and seven siblings. Her father died in a railroad accident when she was almost 5 months old. Audrey’s mother raised eight children by herself during the depression. Her mother earned money through domestic work and baking. The family pulled together with the older sisters helping with baking and the older brother helped to support the family with his earnings. Although life wasn’t easy they found time for enjoyment. Swimming in the summer and skating in winter. Mom had found memories of their simple but happy life. Her family moved to Toronto in her early teens and adjusted quickly to a very different life. Mom was very good with numbers and worked as a bookkeeper for various companies before she met Robert.
Audrey and Robert were meant to be together. They dated for a short time when they were young. Robert joined the Navy and remained for 10 years and upon his return to Toronto Audrey and Robert resumed their relationship. They soon married and had their family of four children.
The most important thing in Audrey’s life was her family. She gave everything and in return she asked only for our love. She believed in honesty and fair play and lived her life by those values. She had a wonderful group of friends from her church who have remained good friends since her children were young. They tirelessly helped anyone in need from dropping off casseroles, providing sandwiches, tea and desserts after funerals and so much more.
Special thanks to the entire staff of The Village of Sandalwood Park for the love and support. She was loved in life and will not be forgotten in death.
Private funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donation in Audrey’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
