

Clifford (Cliffy) Benjamin Rebello, beloved husband, father, brother / brother-in-law, grandfather & uncle passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2024, at the age of 93, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Born on June 12th, 1930, in Mangalore, India, Clifford was the son of Benjamin & Benedicta Rebello née Pinto, and brother of predeceased Aileen, Dr. Gertrude, Richard, Rudolph and Claud (Vicky).
He lived his young days between Mangalore, Chennai and Mumbai, India, where he studied & worked. He grew up with a profound appreciation for family values and hard work, traits that would define his character throughout his life. He moved to Bahrain in 1959 with BAPCO and retired to Canada in 1998. Throughout his life, Clifford exemplified integrity, generosity, and a steadfast commitment to his family and all who knew him.
Clifford was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Ivy, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and hospitality, welcoming all who crossed their threshold with open arms.
As a father, Clifford was a source of unwavering support and encouragement to his children, late Kiran (Lydia), Sharon (Irwin), and Arun (Amber). He instilled in them the values of honesty, perseverance, and compassion which shaped them into the remarkable individuals they are today. Clifford took immense pride in his children's accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them.
Clifford was a dedicated professional, excelling in his career as a Mechanical Engineer. He approached every task with diligence and determination, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him. His commitment to excellence, coupled with his unparalleled work ethic, earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues at BAPCO where he worked for 30 years and at Watson Hawksley for the remainder of his time in Bahrain.
Clifford's zest for life was contagious and he had a remarkable ability to find joy in even the smallest of moments like a game of cards or watching sports. The ultimate host, he would always go the extra mile to ensure that his guests enjoyed their time at his home.
Above all else, Clifford cherished his role as a grandfather. He adored his grandchildren, Ethan, Adam, Aidan, Austin, Aria, Tiana and Rylan, showering them with love, wisdom, and endless affection. His gentle spirit and warm smile will forever remain etched in their hearts.
Clifford will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his kindness, strength, love and generosity continue to live on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the water well project in Africa in Clifford's memory. A donation box and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
