Daphne and I began our missionary life together both in Singapore at language study and then in the Philippines. I loved her from the beginning. I also love this photo of her.It speaks of all her loving ways and caring . God gave Brian and Daphne three beautiful children: Gavin, Judy and and Jeanette! My heart is with each of you during this time of sad loss for you but great gain for your mother.

Dear Judy, Jeanette, Gavin and Family,

Please know of our love and prayers during your time of grieving the loss of your dear Mother. We loved your parents and appreciate the years that we had working along side them in OMF Canada. When we think of your parents, your dad's easy smile and frequent laughter come to mind. Your mom too always had a smile for others, and her gentle nature alongside of your dad's more boisterous, outgoing nature made a great team. A couple who honored the Lord together, loved one another deeply, and always had precious words of love for their children and grand children.
Please know that we are praying for you all as you grieve the loss of this dear lady. May the Savior give you all you need, and encourage you with His joy and hope during this difficult time.

Blessings in Him,
Richard & Kathy Konieczny, OMF Canada

We remember with thanks to our Lord, Daphne's cheerful, loving and giving nature. When we immigrated to Canada, it was so reassuring to know that Daphne and Brian were in Canada too! Daphne had a strong faith in the Lord and was always willing to share that with others, encouraging us along on the road of Faith. In the last years, since Brian's departure to be with Jesus, life was a challenge for her, but she bravely pushed on with all that she needed to do to adjust. We will always remember her smile and voice! We thank the Lord for her great example.
In loving memory, Tony and Pat

To Jeanette, Judy and Gavin.
My memories of your Mum always included her smile. It is the one thing that I always remember when we met at church, at a function or when passing each other by here or there. Her smile was indicative of her joy. Joy of life, joy of family and relationships and most significantly joy for her Lord and Saviour. I know you will miss her dearly, but may the knowledge of her presence with Jesus bring you peace, now and in the coming days. May your celebration of her life be one of heart felt significance. Prayers and Blessings, Owen.

Our family is very blessed to have crossed paths with beloved Pastor Brian and Ate Daphne. Both endowed with a gentle and quiet spirit, they were like parents to us. They exuded love and kindness in all the years we were together and their lives truly manifested the attributes of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ). Remembering Ate Daphne, she was the woman reflected in Proverbs 31:10-31 - “a woman of valor who can find, for her price is beyond pearls… Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits with the elders in the land… She opens her mouth with wisdom, and instruction of kindness is on her tongue… Her children rise and call her fortunate; also, her husband praises her… Many women have acquired wealth, but you surpass them all… Charm is false and beauty is futile; a G-d-fearing woman is to be praised… ”. We thank G-d for the time and opportunity He gave us to be with the Gibson family. Pastor Brian and Ate Daphne had shown us what it is to love G-d above anyone and anything, and to love our fellowmen as ourselves, to accept one’s lot in life and willing to die to self. Ate Daphne, may your memory be a blessing to everyone you crossed paths with; and shalom, comfort and strength to your family and loved ones, we pray. Hopper
