OBITUARY

David E. Desroches

November 6, 1960March 17, 2020

Passed away unexpectedly in the early morning on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 after many years of illness. Dave was very much a family man and always put his family first but would do whatever he could to help family or friends. He enjoyed sitting and listening to music, drinking his coffee and playing a game with his friends. He loved to reminisce and share stories of his life with everyone. He tried to live life to the fullest. Dave was a loving husband to Kim Desroches, a devoted father to Gavin and Andrea White, Kaitlynne, Allison and Jessie Stele. He was an adoring Papa to his grandchildren Jaxon, Dominic and Audrianna. He was a protective brother to Debbie (Rev.Daniel) Daley and Daniel (Susan) Desroches and a caring Uncle too many. Dave is at peace and joins his mother Shirley G. Letourneau and his father Elwood A. Desroches.

So when me , Gavin and Darryl Rushton (god bless his soul) were about 12 or 13 Dave took us to mississauga valley baseball diamonds to watch One of Gavin's games when he was a pitcher ( A very good one) . Anyways Dave was such a good father and a good pitching coach .That every game You could see the joy in his eyes while he was warming up Gavin to start one His games he was so dedicated to making Gavin one of the best pitchers ever. I really admired him for this because I never had the opportunity to have my father teach me sports. David Was not only a really good husband But a good father and a good friend rest in peace Dave we'll miss you

When we were about 14 or 15, Dave and his cousin Richie came to sleep over at my place as they often did and this one night my king size water bed sprang a leak with the three of us on it. As we tried to figure out why our feet were getting wet (we thought the other peed the bed) lol and because we were bouncing around the split in the seam kept getting bigger and bigger. Once we figured it out the split was about a foot long and we laughed so hard that trying to contain it only made it worse! We were so wet and laughing so hard (luckily this was in the basement!) Dave said ‘the h___ with it’ and literally dove into the split which was now about 4 feet wide and SWAM in the waterbed! Needless to say, we did not get any sleep that night and had one heck of a mess to clean up but the laughter never stopped and we got it done! Sleep well my brother!
