Kathy, Tracy, Stephen, I’m so sad to hear about the passing of Dave. I have so many great memories of Dave and your family over the years and am thinking of you all as you go through this difficult time. I hope we can all see each at some time and will always remember Dave as great family friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a good man. Always welcoming and accepting, fair, quick witted and easily the best dancer at the Merseyside Club. He will be deeply missed. I pray you will have peace and comfort from God and each other during this time of loss.

Dad. Im sitting here thinking of you, crying and asking for a sign you are here.  I just cant believe im not going to see you. Dad… you were and always will be my best mate. Mum too!  I hope you are at peace now dad. Thank you for always showing me Steve, Mark and Mum so much dedication. You were a true man.  I said before, and will say again, there wont be a day I dont think of you. How can i?  Ive lost my best friend. Im going to keep trying to make you proud. Uncle Dave.. heaven has gained a very special Angel.. They say he only takes the best.. and he definitely has with you. 
Although we lived thousands of miles apart and didn’t see very much of each other you were my family and you were my Uncle. Tracy told me you asked after Mia in the hospital.. I would of loved for you to have met her.. you would have loved her just as much as we all do and I know she would of absolutely loved you. 
You have left a huge hole in everybody’s hearts and you will be so dearly missed and we will always think about and remember you. 
I can remember some of  your visits to England when we lived in Swindon Close and you’d come and see us when you stayed with Grandma and Grandad up the road.. you nicknamed Timmy our dog ‘sod off’ which always stuck as a standing joke :) 
You were so brave and strong and you fought until the very end but you are out of pain and suffering now. 
Fly high and shine bright up there Uncle Dave and keep watching over us all.. every time I look at the stars I know that you will be looking down on us keeping us all safe.

It was a pleasure to meet you Dave, you made me very welcome and a part of your family when we came to see you in 1983 (can't believe it was nearly 40 years ago). I remember when we went to Bucks cottage by a beautiful lake,  and you frightening the living daylights out of me when you got the rifle down to check it was OK incase we got bears coming to close,  oh and there was only an outside loo,  but we had a great time. Bye bye Dave and sleep well. 

Dave,  our families have shared many years of memories and fun, you will be missed.RIP.

David, Thank you for the memories of growing up together,, each,  eventually,  venturing out on our own pursuits.  

I keep fond memories  alive of  the things we shared as children  - our holidays in Wales with Mum and Dad;  sharing sweet coupons on Friday nights; signing me in to the Auto Club  as a teenager,….you being there for me. 

Always you were amiable and available and interested.  Our phone chats,  between Ontario and Alberta, always worthwhile.  Your vast knowledge and awareness of what was happening in the world, your  vast knowledge of geography and history, always impressive, although not as vast as your knowledge of Liverpool Football Club.  I am sure you know that Liverpool held their own against Manchester last Sunday - no banana, but  hey!   

I will keep you in my heart, David, always.  Our bond was invisible and intangible,  respectful and strong. - and will remain.  Love you.  Night Nightxx

Me and Brenda has so many good times on our holidays in Canada,,I would go with Dave to get the essentials in, fill the fridge with beer and sit outside on the step and drink most of it,good times

Dave & I were neighbor’s way back in the mid 80’s but we met up again 9 or 10 years ago at Adesa Auctions in Brampton…that’s when the trouble started, when the both of us got together we would take the Mickey out of anyone who happened to be around us at the time but it was all in fun. Going to miss you my friend, may you RIP.

Dave, I was 12 when you left Liverpool for Canada in 1966, our time since too infrequent , too short ,but always quality,no vitriol ,no meter running .When I left Toronto in December 2017 you had a mountain to climb ,but you rang that bell.You have walked through the storm, keep holding your head high and we know YWNWA. I shared private things with you that no one else heard, I thank you for your support, Love always

I met Dave in 1980. His son Steve, and I became best friends when my family moved to Ontario. Dave was always a kind man, and when he spoke you were drawn to his voice. He didn’t make you listen. You wanted to listen. His smile, intelligence, and love for his beloved LFC was addictive. Thanks so much Dave for letting me be part of your journey in life, and I will miss you sir. Believe me when I say I learned a lot from you. Thank you for that. Love to you all.
