re sympathy to Pat Heard and family on the death of Huntley.  Pat and I first met at our first full time jobs at the Office of the Public Trustee back I believe in 1953.  We became very good friends at that time  &  soon after my marriage to my husband on September 24, 1955, Pat and her then boyfriend Huntley  were our guests at our first apartment.  Pat & I,  I think were a bit worried what would happen if the two men didn't like each other- turned out, no worries there, Hunt stepped in to greet Gord and they were soon busy discussing sports and many other things.  Over all the years since we raised our families, visited back and forth between Scarborough, Toronto and Bramalea/Brampton & Markham,   & later we visited them in their Florida vacation home.  
Hunt has always been such a great friend and at my husband's death in 2009 he ensured Pat & I still were able to get together. For a while I could drive and visit them in Brampton and they would come to Markham - especially then when I wasn't able to make the drive to Brampton on my own, Hunt & Pat joined me once every summer day for a number of years,  at our favourite patio in Markham for lunch.  We have been able to remain Facebook, email and telephone friends since they moved into their Senior Residence  home in Brampton.  I know Pat and I will always be friends, and I know Hunt will always be remembered and missed by me.  Pat and Hunt raised a beautiful family and I know they and Pat will be blessed with many great memories of a great husband.  and father.  I am sorry to be unable to attend the funeral, but my prayers are with Pat and family then and in the future.  Rest in Peace dear Huntley and thank you for being the great friend  you were. Sorry to hear of Hunts passing. My sincere condolances.   I remember so.. many ball games with Scott and Hunt coaching his grandaughers when they were young.  There were always many cheers, smiles and words of encouragement from Grandpa Hunt. Pat I know you likely in attendance too!  I am sure there are so many more special moments to remember.  Cherish those family times together!

I have known Huntley for many years while working with him in Brampton. He was always a good friend even after we had both retired. We formed a coffee club and met every two weeks in Brampton, Georgetown and Acton. Later on with more members we had road trips to Port Dover, Meaford and Cambridge for lunch. I always enjoyed Huntley’s camaraderie. He will be missed by us all. Condolences to Pat and the family. Rick ( Beetle) and Liz Bailey.

Although I didn’t work directly with Huntley, I used to see him in the shop in Brampton. He was very friendly, easy-going, helpful & knowledgeable. During his retirement, a large group of us Bell employees would meet up for dinner once a year & there were some road trips to Port Dover & Meaford and various coffee shops in between! Since alot of the coffee group moved away, we have all missed our time together wtih Huntley. He will sadly missed & our thoughts are with his family.

So sorry to hear this news. I worked with Huntley for many years and it was always a pleasure. He was very knowledgeable and always willing to help anyone at anytime. I also have missed our weekly coffee’s since I have retired as we moved out of Brampton a few years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Pat and your family in this very sad time.
