Iris Passarelli

November 7, 1920- August 5, 2013

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Iris, on Monday, August 5th, 2013 at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga. Iris in her 93rd year, was the beloved wife of the late Adolph Passarelli. Devoted mother to Donna (Don) Brant, Janis (Sal) Liotta and Leonard (Rochelle) Passarelli. Proud "Golden Grams" to her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Iris will be fondly remembered by her many relatives and friends. She worked tirelessly as a volunteer for many years at the Queensway General Hospital in Etobicoke. Her culinary skills produced the very best buttertarts imaginable thus bestowing upon her title of "Buttertart Queen". Iris found relaxation in knitting a wide variety of items for her family and for charity bazaars. The family will receive friends at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre, (8190 Dixie Road (north of Steeles) Brampton) on Wednesday August 7th, 2013 from 6:00pm ~ 9:00pm and Thursday August 8th, 2013 from 10- 11:00 am; to be followed by a memorial celebration in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga. A reception will follow. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers a donation to the Herbie Fund (Enabling specialized surgical care for the world's children) in memory of Iris would be appreciated.
