James Ross Hancock

At Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto in the early morning of March 15, 2017, Jim passed away peacefully just weeks after his 71st Birthday with his family by his side after a brief battle with brain cancer. He will be missed but never forgotten by his beloved wife of 46 years Anne-Marie (Jamieson) and their children Stephanie her husband David Quinn, son Michael and his wife Sandra and youngest daughter Margaret and Grandchildren Rebecca and Matthew Quinn.. Jim will also be missed by his sisters Suzanne Young of Seattle WA, Joanne and her husband Howie Peers, brothers David and his wife Elaine and Steven and his wife Barbara. He also leaves his sister in law Cathy Lee and her husband Jerry of St John's NL and his brother in law Guy Jamieson and his wife Anne of Antigonish NS and many nieces and nephews and great niece's and nephews and many cousins. The family will receive friends at the Andrews Funeral Home in Brampton on Saturday March 25, 2017 from 10 am to 11am followed by a short memorial in the chapel at 11 am and a celebration of life afterwards. In lieu for flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Inuit Outreach Project or Gord Dowie Fund for Brain Cancer Research:
