James Wilson Reid, 84, died Sunday, July 9th 2017, at his home in Bramalea. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Lillian Reid; his son, Alan and his wife, Davina; his daughter, Anne; six grandchildren, Carrie, Chiara, Ryan, Torin, Caillan and Tani; 3 great- grandchildren Chelsea, Thomas and Bailey; and many close friends and family. Born and raised in Johnstone, Renfrewshire the son of John and Margaret Reid, he moved to Canada in 1964. He worked as an aeronautical engineer for McDonald Douglas, Boeing and Spar Aerospace where he contributed to the building of the Canadarm. He retired at the age of 65 in 1997. In his free time he enjoyed watching golf, especially when his grandson played, seeing the Rangers beat the Celtics and gardening. He grew the biggest apples and best tomatoes. A celebration of life will take place at Andrews Funeral Home in Bramalea on July 14th from 1-3.
