John Gordon Miller

John Gordon Miller. (August 29th,1941 to November 8th, 2016) Formerly from Brampton, Ontario went to be with his Lord on Tuesday November the 8th at St. Joseph's Health Centre. Loving husband of Olive(Coelho). Devoted father to Carlisle (Ida) Bernard (Vanessa), Adrian and Sarah(Jorge) Son to the late Renald and Alecha Miller. Beloved brother to Gloria, Bernice (deceased), Barbara, Ben, Claire, Carol (deceased) Ingrid, Paul, Michael(deceased), Huynierd and Juliana. John was always vibrant and lived every day, from his youth with energy and vigour.

He took an early interest in the built world and how it functioned. With an interest in structures and numbers he was educated as an engineer in Georgetown Guyana, he worked as a successful civil and structural engineer, estimator and consultant in Guyana, the United States and across Canada. John was passionate about work, life and his faith. He was a devoted Catholic and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. John was an usher at St. Anthony of Padua church in Brampton, giving his time and greeting the members of the congregation for many years at the 12:30 mass. He enjoyed and contributed to the parish community continuously throughout his life. Moreover, he was a devoted husband, dad and friend. He was the light and the life of his family and made everyone that he came in contact with, even in passing, feel like the most special person in the room. His energy was infectious, his will strong and his opinions, the loudest. He would leave you with a lesson learnt. John will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

John always made time for his friends. He was a shoulder to cry on, and however stubborn, a man with an open mind. He made time to listen and support his wife and his children. As both a father and a figure of support, he helped guide and form the confidence that lives in his children today.
