Manfred Raasch

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father, devoted husband, and loving brother, Manfred Raasch, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday December 17, 2010, in his 73rd year. Predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Mary. Dear father of Suzanne, Christine (Rob), Edward (Marie-Claire), Theresa (Ed), Joseph (Amrita), and David. Loving grandpa to Ryan, Darrah, Nick, Caity, Mikaela, Jacob, Benjamin, Aidan, Zachary, Jonathan, Rylynn, Matthieu, and Ella. Survived by sisters Helga (Claude), Heidi (Wilfried), and predeceased by brother Klaus (Johanna). Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Manfred was a dedicated employee at IBM for 34 years where he made many treasured friendships. We extend our deepest gratitude to the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at Brampton Civic Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held in Manfred’s honour on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Rd., Brampton (north of Steeles Ave, 905-456-8190), with a Funeral Mass held at St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church, 300 Balmoral Drive., Brampton, on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to take place at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
