Mark was my training officer at 11 Division. He was a kind and patient teacher and very passionate about his work. My sincerest condolences to Jodi and Leah. Your loss is immeasurable. My sincerest condolences to the Borneman family. Mark will be remembered for his happy go-lucky smile and personality.  He was a pleasure to work with and will be missed by many.

As a former classmate of Mark's in MTP 8802 and then a co-worker at 11 Division, I will always remember him as a genuine good guy.  I am so shocked by this news and express my condolences to his beautiful family and to all his friends and co-workers.

My deepest condolences to the Borneman family.  I first met Mark in 11 Division and although we were on different shifts, I will always remember his friendly smile and gentle demeanor.  My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Mark, this is a shock and there is much sorrow in your passing. Your knowledge in the FIS lab was vast and you were always willing to pass that on to others. A great loss to many including the TPS.

Met mark during the soco course given by TPS. Did not really get to know him much, but from the get go he seemed like a very nice guy. This came as a shock to all of us and he will be missed by all for sure. Look after us from wherever you are pal !

I will remember Mark as a gentleman with an excellent work ethic and a heck of a sense  of humor.  Mark had a wonderful blend of those two character traits and as Mark knew, it helped us all cope with the nature of the work at F.I.S. (Forensic Identification Services).  My condolences to his family.

Mark was a good friend, one who I will surely miss and fondly remember. I will always remember Mark for his great sense of humour, his passion for fishing and the outdoors. We always had a laugh and learned many things from Mark.  Not every fish had to be a trophy for the trip to be successful. If you accidentally snag a beaver, its best to cut your line….they get really mad. And, if confronted by large white caps while boating, make sure weight is placed in the bow of the boat (like a 350lb S/Sgt!). We will all miss Mark and share your sense of loss and grief.
