He was born on May 22, 1945, in Kingston, Jamaica, to the late Felix and Clarice Kirlew. Loving father to Desrene, Lorraine and Oraine. Cherished Grandfather to 3 grandchildren. Dear brother to Clovis, Clare, Earline, Karline, Janet and Pamela.
Mendel led a life filled with gratitude, courage, kindness, generosity and above all love. We were blessed with his presence in our lives for many years. He will be cherished forever in our hearts, deeply missed and forever loved.
Visitation will take place at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, on April 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life in the chapel of the funeral home on April 18, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Private cremation.
