It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael William Chaput on Tuesday, January 30, 2025, in Oakville, at the age of 58, with his beloved wife Giovanna, faithfully by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Dear father to Sabrina, Martina and his best friend, Max. Beloved brother to Wendy and Tracey.
Michael was born in Brampton, Ontario on April 6, 1967, to William and Barbara Chaput.
He will be missed by the many who were touched by his spirit, generosity and love.
The family invites relatives and friends to share their memories of Michael during visitation, held at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 12pm -1pm. Funeral service will be the same day at 1pm, in the chapel of the funeral home. Private interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga, Ontario.
During your visitation, the family encourages you to formally wear dark blue and deep red to honour Michael as those were the colours he wore proudly everyday.
If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or SickKids Foundation.
