Nicola Baratta, 74, of Brampton, passed away at 3:45pm on Friday April 18, 2014.
He was born to the late Angela Antonia Baratta of Italy on February 9th, 1940. Nicola came to Canada in 1964, and pursued a lifelong career in carpentry. He is loved unconditionally by his wife Girlee Simpson and his children Maria, Benny, Tony, Angelo and Rosa. He is also loved by fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Nick will be remembered for his love of carpentry and craftsmanship, as well as his kindness, generosity, and gentle demeanor. He enjoyed staying active through travel, gardening, and home improvement. His positive outlook and joyous laughter brought smiles to those whose lives he touched. His sense of humour will always be remembered. Nick was loved by many friends and family members, and will be greatly missed.
A public viewing will be held at Andrews Community Funeral Centre – Bramalea Chapel, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, on Tuesday April 22, 2014 between 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday April 23, 2014.
