Beloved husband of 35 years to Charlene and loving father to Kelley and Ricky (Samara), stepfather to Chris (Michelle) and Theresa. Proud and cherished grandfather of Adrianna, Anthony, Anna, Alissandra, Jordon, Tamika, Dominick, Tyrel, Nathan, Carter, Brady, Cambrie and Remi.
Predeceased by his brother Don, survived by his sisters Linda (Steve), Barb (Christine), Cindy (Paul), and Selena (Paul).
Rick was born in Sudbury, ON to loving parents Henry and Elizabeth. He worked for nearly 50 years as a truck driver and loved being on the road. Some things that brought him joy other than spending time with family and friends were NASCAR racing and hockey, listening to country music, and eating anything spicy! He was an avid coin collector, not to mention tools and was happiest when he was tinkering in his workshop.
A memorial gathering for Richard will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, ON L6T5N9, followed by a celebration of life from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Rick’s memory to Bethell Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Rick will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
