He was a loving husband of Mary (nee Killen), his wife of 63 years, and beloved father to Karen (Michael) and Craig. He was a caring Granda to Matthew, Miah, Isaac and Avery.
He was predeceased by brothers Alfie, Henry, Hughie and sister Doreen (Bobby). He is survived by his sister, Betty (Terry) and brother Billy. He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Belfast and Canada.
Bobby emigrated from Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Canada at the age of 21, where he made his home and started his family. He will be remembered for his wit and rare humour. He was always willing to have a chat with passers by while sitting on his porch, and had an ease of manner that allowed him to connect with everyone he met.
The family invite relatives and friends to share their memories of Bobby during visitation, held at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre on Saturday, May 18th from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Funeral service will be the same day from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Afterwards, all are invited to celebrate Bobby’s life at his beloved Glasgow Rangers Club nearby, from 1:00-5:00pm.
