The family moved to Lochaber, Antigonish County where he went to school. Leaving home at an early age, Bob went to Toronto and worked in the transport/trucking industry for several decades. He and his family spent many summer vacations in Nova Scotia visiting family.
Bob is survived by his wife Bernadette (Bernie), daughter Shelley, son Darin (Christina), granddaughter Mya and grandson Bryce; brothers Donald (Dorothy), Penticton BC; Howard (Mary), Maple Ridge BC; sister Peg (Bud) MacPherson, New Glasgow NS; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother John (Mary), sisters Elsie (Tom) Nowicke and Ena (John) St. Martin.
