Sending lots of love to Anne, the family and friends of Ron. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing but remember many happy times in his company and those of his friends.  I'll always be grateful for how welcome they always made me as a newcomer to Canada. A true gentleman. Rest in peace Big Ron.

WHAT A SAD LOSS!    We have shared many stories from the 70's when we first met.  Family and social gatherings, soccer, weddings, different celebrations, travel , including many cruises and visits to many parts of the world.   A true friend who we have shared and enjoyed many good times with him and Anne. 
We will miss you big Ron.         
Our thoughts and prayers are with Anne,  Neil, Justine, Audrey Janice, and their families. Also Ron’s sister Lynn and family in England.

Thanks everyone, huge loss this past weekend.  Dad and Ron were best mates from the get go many yrs ago in the mid to late 70's. Spun from the great days of the Ching coaches teams. Ron and Mick Mike Hall were a formidable defensive partnership from the get go playing many years with the coaches, the big Londonder and Stonewall Hally from Manc. There are some superb memories from the coaches days that we will cherish and never forget. Also some great trips down to Dudley Massachusetts to see our family there. As the years went by everyone got older and the kids started to do their thing etc, but My parents Mick and Elaine stayed very close to Ron and Anne Auger and were constantly  away on trips , cruises, China, the European boat cruise you name it they did it. There wasn't a month that went by where they would be at one or the others house at least a few times each month for a knees up, or a supposed quick lunch that turned into a 6 hr meeting to plot and plan their next trip. Iam still in shock after mom rang Saturday night with the shocking and upsetting news. I was stunned. It is with great sadness that this Thursday afternoon we will say goodbye to a Class Bloke and may he R.I.P. I so the Hammers win Thursday in Honour of Ron and can they go get him the Europa Trophy. Will be Dearly missed by All, Love ya Big Ron Auger.    Steve Hall

We have been so very sad to hear of Ron’s passing. We really enjoyed chatting with Ron about his days working at Formatic as we knew the business well. He was a lovely man and it always stood out to us how suited Anne and Ron were for one another ❤️It did not go unnoticed, what a great friend and brother in law he was to  Uncle Tony. Ron was definitely a class act and will be sadly missed. God Bless, our sincerest regrets Gary and Susan.

I first met Ron thru The Coaches and though Ron was ending his playing career he stayed involved in running the team and I got to know him a lot more in our trips to Buffalo and Ottawa. 
Good memories of those trips and his famous yellow pickup truck which amongst many other things, we used to haul a big BBQ from JDs work to Eldorado Park for our annual picnic. Then of Ron getting a suntan there, with the imprint of a bottle of rum on his chest when he had a wee nap on the park😀
Had lots of good times with Ron and Anne in St Maarten, Europe and of course Brampton and every single memory is a good one. He was just a great guy and glad I got to spend those times with him.

I did not really get to know my father-in-law Tony. When I first met him, he was recovering from a serious head injury.

But every time I hung with Ron, he would go on with kind and respectful stories about Tony.  How he was an incredible foolballer, a loyal man of principal etc.,,,

It was like Ron had a duty to his old friend to make sure I knew him at his best. And when Tony passed,, that was exactly how I remembered him.

Thanks for that Ron. You were a kind gentle soul and will be missed.



Having none of my dad’s family here in Canada, Ron was the uncle we always wished for and got lucky enough to have, later in our lives. Always quietly smiling and cheering us on, never taking the limelight. He was a real gem. My parents adored him, as we all did. We will all miss you very much. 

'Big Ron' , rest in peace big man. It was a pleasure having known you.
 Ron played on the soccer team  simply known as 'the coaches.'
Early on and during a game he said to another English guy by the name of Mike Hall. Big Ron says to Mike  ' do you know what these 'jocks' are saying"?. Mike says 'haven't a clue.
I remember saying . You think you've got a problem.? We have a hard time with your accent. What a memory but a good one. We had the time of our lives with these guys. Anne and family please accept my condolences. Ron was well liked by all.
