Teela MacKenzie Janes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an extraordinary girl who left us with a legacy of beautiful memories and a zest for life. Teela Janes passed away unexpectedly at home in Brampton, Ontario on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the age of 23.

Cherished daughter to Donna. Loving sister to Randal. Beloved niece to Nancy Rose-Janes and cousin to Jacob, Mitchell, Lukas, Kennedy and Houston. Loving grand daughter to the late Jean & Hollis.

Teela was a unique and special soul, who lit up everyone’s life with her contagious laughter and sarcastic sense of humor. If you were ever lucky enough to receive her warm hugs and juicy kisses, you were a cherished part of her world. She never let her medical condition hinder how she lived her life. She was the strongest person you would ever meet.

Teela enjoyed spending time with her family and friends creating beautiful memories, she kept close to her heart. She cared deeply about people. Always waking up and asking how you were or what you were doing today, with that silly little grin on her face. Always living life in the moment and to the fullest of her abilities. She will be fondly remembered by the many people who touched her life.

The family invites relatives and friends to share their memories of Teela during visitation, held at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 1pm-2pm. A Celebration of Life will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 2pm on November 5, 2023, following the visitation.
