

We as relatives and friends of Teresa Slaney are deeply moved and grateful to God for the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life we truly experienced the love of God, the love of family, the true impact and influence, kindness and charity has on others. Through the sharing of her music she brought joy and touched the hearts of us all.
How fitting Teresa was called home on Mother’s Day. She departed peacefully in Brampton Civic Hospital on Sunday May 13th, 2018 at the age of 80. Predeceased by her husband Walter. Cherished and devoted Mother to Brian (Nicole), Karen (Chris) and Michelle (Mike). Beloved Nanny to Amanda, Brandon (Alisa), Gillian, Meghan (Kevin), Nikki, Liam, Brandy, Melissa (Eric), Shannon (Cam) and Rachelle (Jake). It was a blessing to her to experience Great Grandchildren - Noah, Caleb, Brooklyn and Dylan, Mason, Leah, Heidi Curtis, Robinson and Lily. She is survived by her siblings Elizabeth, Susan, Michael (Marg), Katherine (William), Marty (Elena). Predeceased by Rosarie, Billy and Bridie, Harry, Nellie, Mary, Lillian, Brendan (Survived by Margaret). Mom’s wishes were for us to celebrate her life, spending time together laughing sharing memories and stories.
Family and friends may gather at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre - 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton (North of Steeles Avenue) 905-456-8190, on Wednesday May 16th from 4pm -8pm. A funeral mass will take place at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Church - 2490 Sandalwood Pkwy E-Brampton, Ontario, on Thursday May 17th at 11:00am. Followed by Reception at Andrews Community Funeral Centre.
In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice or Teresa’s Charity of choice The Society of the Little Flower www.littleflower.org
A private cremation will follow.
