Thelma Lezora Thompson Whittaker, age 79 of Brampton, passed away on Friday August 22, 2014. She was born on Friday July 12, 1935, to the late Edna Badroe and Sylvester Thompson in Athlone St. Mary, Jamaica. She was predeceased by her husband Aston Whittaker. She leaves behind six children Merlene, Sharon, Joy, Jackie, Rochelle, and John, her 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Thelma also leaves behind six brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, many family members and friends. Family and friends were Thelma's passion and delight. Thelma will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by friends and family for her hospitality, helpfulness and vibrant spirit. The family of Thelma wishes to express their sincere appreciation for many prayers and support in this our time of loss. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
