Born in Kumamoto, Japan, Yoshi was the son of Tameyoshi & Hanako, sister to Yoko, husband to Shirley, father to Jeffrey, stepfather to Melanie and a great friend to many.
Yoshi was a proud, warm, caring, generous person with a sharp sense of humour and an impeccable golf swing. His unique charm, infectious laugh and care free spirit won him many friends where ever he went.
In 1987 he and Shirley married at the Bramalea United Church. They had met at a wedding three years earlier and he and the Hanabusas quickly became part of Shirley’s large family, mostly located in Newfoundland.
In 1990 Yoshi & Shirley welcomed their son Jeffrey Tameyoshi into the world, much to the delight of Melanie who had always wanted a little brother or sister.
Over the years Yoshi had a very colourful career, which gave him the opportunity to meet many people who were instantly attracted to his magnetic personality and quick wit.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked a donation be made to the ICU Department at the Brampton Civic Hospital, William Osler Health Centre. The doctors and nursing staff cared for Yoshi in his final hours with the perfect blend of professionalism and compassion. A service will be held at 2:30 on Wednesday, March 7 at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre in Bramalea. The service will be followed by a reception at a location to be determined.
