Alberta Georgianna (Pisani) Scavullo, 86 of Valrico, beloved wife, mother, and faithful member of the Creekside Church of Christ, went to her heavenly home to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 14, 2024, with her loving daughters by her side.
Alberta was born on May 6, 1938, to the late Katherine and Albert Pisani in Hartford, Connecticut. After she graduated from Buckley High School in 1956, she began her career as a cardiac secretary at Hartford Hospital on Bliss 5, where she took great satisfaction in caring for others. In 1983, she became the office manager for a top cardio-vascular surgeon, where she joyfully worked until her retirement.
Following retirement, Alberta and her loving husband Donald relocated to The Villages, Florida where they enjoyed golfing, entertaining their grandchildren, caring for homeless cats, and watching baseball.
Following the passing of Donald in 2005, Alberta relocated to Valrico, Florida to live with her daughters.
In Valrico, Alberta became an active member of the Creekside Church of Christ, preparing after service refreshments for many years, and attending ladies’ classes as often as she could. She also loved to play Mahjong with her friends and join her family in watching the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey games.
Her feline companions were dear to her throughout her life. Zuzu, her three-legged rescue cat, brought her much comfort after the passing of Donald. We are sure Zuzu is once again napping on her lap.
Alberta leaves behind her three daughters, Laura (Dan) Garcia, Nancy Rowles, Trish (Roger) Jaynes; fifteen grandchildren, Robert (Mary), Erik (Jessica), David, Steven, James (Jodie), Danny (Ellen), Lisa (James), Rachel (Rich), Joe (Jesse), Heather (Brendan), Chris (Lavendar), Kevin, Paul, Connor, Maggie; eighteen great-grandchildren; nieces, Flora, Janis; nephews Frank, and Scott.
Alberta found joy in life and loved sharing it with others, and if you feel so moved, share a memory of a joyful time spent with our mother!
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at Creekside Church of Christ, 3949 Lithia Pinecrest Road, Valrico, FL 33594. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. A private burial will be held in Connecticut.
